Had no idea until I googled — getting ads off the Kindle is as easy as asking politely on the support chat.
"Normally we charge $20 but I'll do it for free this time"
Heh.

That would be like swigging a very nice bottle of wine from the bottle in a park.
Never rains but it pours…Amazon and tea delivery came within 10 minutes of each other.
Think I'll skip that walk and just have some tea.
@matigo Fine for the establishment, annoying as hell for me. I made the reservation and I don’t want to be bothered by it again.
Resdiary and Chope are the most annoying reservation systems, sending me a link by email/text that I have to follow to confirm my reservation shortly before the actual thing.
@matigo In the office, yes. If I brought in a kettle, I'd have to keep it on my desk — this is for gongfu brewing with 100ml clay teapots.
So that's USD 300 spent on tea leaves and teaware.
Tea leaves I needed (desperately). Teaware…was inevitable…Yixing teapots are real works of art, and functional too (the only kind of art I really care to buy).
The only thing that's missing is a kettle in the office so I can use these all day — space is a bit of an issue I think…
Overheard in a specialty coffee shop:
It’s not always easy to keep a straight face.
iOS’ autocorrect is infuriating. I want it to correct to “bill” (ie what I have to pay), not “Bill” (the name) by default!
@matigo Yes, it’s a version behind but it’s just for reading novels after all. And it’s effectively free as I have no other use for these points.
