Decent start to the month — my spreadsheets and actual bank balances match to the cent.
It’s lovely to have an Omega service centre just 15 minutes from home.
The poor guy in the lab has to spend an extra 10 mins setting up the equipment, apparently, because this model’s so old that none of the modern settings work on it.
Or that’s what they say.
Looks like I now have 2 watches from the 1960s: an Omega Seamaster Cosmic 2000 (around 1967) and a Longines Ultra Chron with a plastic crystal.
Wonder if I could get the Longines crystal replaced with a sapphire one…then I could wear it out.
No alarm is quite as effective as hearing the gentle "click" of the UPS doing its monthly test.
Even the specialty coffee roasters in Vancouver are happy to dilute the hell out of their espressos. Such a waste of good beans.
“Would you mind having your coffee at the bar, so our friends can take your table and sit next to us, and I’ll pay your bill?”
So basically I got paid CAD 80 to move tables.
Absolutely no problem!
@variablepulserate Calm and sunny today. Will head over to Blackcomb Glacier after lunch if I can, never been over that side (usually ski with family and they don’t do that kind of thing)
One last day on the slopes, with a long lunch at one of the only full-service restaurants up the mountains.
