Just being there can make a huge change. In hindsight I talk about half the amount the people I hang around do.

3-chilli kung pao chicken for dinner.

At 11:30pm. Hehe.

Yep, totally not worth it for 6€, especially as they sell those beans at 12€/250g.

Turns out, Café Coutume is a rip off if you actually drink coffee there — they just use a pair of Bonavita Clever-style cones (paper filter in cone, close spigot, grounds and water in, steep, open spigot, serve). Paying for nothing more than the location, as there's absolutely 0 skill involved in using that device.

Won't bother ordering filter coffee next time.

Coffee turned out to be coffee, followed by a stroll, then a trip to get some wine, cheese, and terrine, then 3 hours of conversation (to an actual verified human!)

Unexpected.

@height8 Fortunately the uni (where he is and would like to stay close to) is only 15 minutes' walk from Café Coutume, one of the better roasters in the city (and highly rated in Europe).

But it is the only one for miles, because not many businesses can survive in that very expensive (and actually very boring) area. Most of the good ones are…actually located within 20 minutes of my apartment on either of the two lines that go through my station…I'd never noticed that.

Actually meeting a friend for coffee this afternoon (after a nap).

I almost never go for coffee :o

The only reason I bought the Pi was for fun, and BSD has always been on the todo list, so even if it's harder, I'm quite determined to make it happen.

This summer, I'm going to look into getting FreeBSD on my Pi (assuming it still works, having been abandoned for a year) just for the sake of having a "pure" BSD system in some form.
