I just spent 30 minutes writing regex to filter out reddit posts.

Things would be so much easier if people followed tagging rules properly. Maybe they just don't know what square brackets are…

Looks like I've filled up just about every possible container in preparation for tomorrow's water cut.

Worst part is that the toilet water's also going to be unavailable until 5pm. In HK it was either fresh water or toilet water that was cut, never both at the same time.

And now that you're no longer a teacher…

@kdfrawg Ah. I thought that, living further out from the city, you'd enjoy a slower pace of change.

Surely your constantly running for trains is enough physical for the year :o

Anne-Marie Cantin's Beaufort with Abbatucci's stunning 2015 Faustine Vieilles Vignes vermentino from Corsica.

Each as fragrant as the other.

@kdfrawg Don't you live in an area defined by slow change? :P

@kdfrawg It is a shame. I pride myself on keeping track on what's in my cabinet, but when I settle down properly into a permanent apartment and build a real wine collection, I'll have to be twice as strict with keeping detailed notes and drinking windows.

So much of North America is too centred around big brands for my taste. Happily it is changing at a decent pace, at least in areas like coffee (Portland) and microbreweries.

quality alcohol though?

If I did move to Canada, it'd either be Vancouver or Toronto, both cities within driving distance of the US where I could get wine shipped (Point Roberts/NY, respectively). This is also the only reason I don't want the UK to leave the EU — it would prevent me getting wine shipped from Germany/southern Europe, where taxes are much more reasonable and online stores stock an impressive selection.
