For a higher education institution that offers bilingual programs in hospitality, this is pretty poor English…huh.

So this translation gig I got involves not only translation from French to English (relatively easy, honestly), but proofreading and correcting Franglais. It takes an incredible amount of energy to read a 20-page document and figure out when "planning" means "planning" and when "planning" means "timetabling". It'd almost be easier if they just gave me everything in French. =.=

Reminds me of that story about the gay male nurse who got fired from the sperm bank for drinking on the job.

Indeed. A little too much wine, I think — the onions boiled more than caramelised.

My one-pan dinner: carrots, onions, potatoes, and shoulder of lamb all drizzled with olive oil and a drop of white wine. Roasted for 1 hour at 170ºC. Mashed the veg but kept the potatoes whole.

Right, food processor and one monitor sold. Checked how much it would cost to ship the nice monitor to Edinburgh — 30GBP. Considering I bought it for 225 euros, that might actually be worth it, especially as I still have the original box. That's if it doesn't sell, of course.

@kdfrawg Indeed. Far too late.

Not everyone, but t does feel like a lot of people like to waste others' time.

Oh, that second buyer called back, said he had his phone in airplane mode. Let's hope this goes well.

It is indeed. Good thing I called this second buyer before leaving as well…because he didn't pick up. Twice. Straight to voicemail. So I'm contacting the first buyer again to give him a second chance for an appointment, since 20 minutes later Buyer 2 hasn't called back and he assured me this morning that he would be home between 3 and 4pm today.
