Being productive today because I can't put it off any longer.

Found a warehouse in Edinburgh that'll sign for my boxes and do everything (for a fee, obviously…), set the cut-off date for my internet/phone plan, and now am just waiting for my parents to confirm my flight so I can set the electricity cut-off date. Meeting with the landlord on Friday to finalise the handover.

Just need to list some stuff on Leboncoin (France's Craigslist) now.

A lot of stuff, actually. Clothes steamer, 3 monitors, office chair, wine cabinet (sniffle), food processor…

Awesome! I love pushing people over the edge. Mostly.

Not surprising, but someone has to start somewhere.

What if you founded an open source project for every option where self-hosting wasn't available? Even if you didn't know how to write it yourself, you could outline the basic goals and structure, and maybe get some devs interested.

But H.265 takes a lot more power to decode apparently. It probably wouldn't be noticeable on most devices these days, but the Pi is a wonderful exception.

That is unfortunate. I'm seeing a reduction of at least 30%, usually 40–50%, on my files, which is huge for shows like Allo Allo (currently the 9 seasons takes up over 20GB).

Planning to re-encode as much of my library to h265 as possible to regain some space.

Putting 12 cores to good use. Haven't driven this machine so hard in way too long :D

Well, quite. Happily, in this case, they weren't!

I'm pretty sure I'm addicted to buying nice shirts.
