Have you thought about those monitors?

Horse tataki for a very late dinner. Got rather carried away with those books.

Quite. The world would be so much easier if we lived by the sunrises and sunsets of the internet.

Hauled home about 7kg of books from the pile that our librarian was giving away. Some pages even worthy of scanning, not least because they're from the 1950s and the pages are getting very fragile.

Well I have 3. Including shipping to 66050:

  • Samsung S27D390 in the original box, 1 year old: 170€
  • Samsung S24C450+box, 2.5 years old: 80€
  • Samsung SyncMaster P2450, bought 2nd hand, would have to find a way to ship it…: 50€

Those're more or less the prices I remember buying them at -30% (assuming they depreciate by 10%/year just by sitting on my desk :P).

It would and wouldn't be better to let the locals fight over them. Letting that happen would involve posting a proper listing with my phone number etc., and taking the time to meet people, smile, be nice, all that crap.

Stupid Xerox floorbrick can't scan and email a 150 page PDF.

Wow, relief. Just called a possible shipping service to ask about shipping my UPS over ("big" batteries are usually a difficult thing to send) and they said it should be fine.

Phew.

Seriously though, I am fine with shipping the monitors to Sweden.

Maybe not. Give me a post code.

Being productive today because I can't put it off any longer.

Found a warehouse in Edinburgh that'll sign for my boxes and do everything (for a fee, obviously…), set the cut-off date for my internet/phone plan, and now am just waiting for my parents to confirm my flight so I can set the electricity cut-off date. Meeting with the landlord on Friday to finalise the handover.

Just need to list some stuff on Leboncoin (France's Craigslist) now.

A lot of stuff, actually. Clothes steamer, 3 monitors, office chair, wine cabinet (sniffle), food processor…
