Going to buy a buckwheat pillow, I think. Or more specifically, 10kg of buckwheat hulls and a few zip-closure pillow cases because that works out cheaper (and more flexible).

It's clear that firm mattresses and even firmer pillows are my thing. In fact, I need to find a way to stiffen up this memory foam mattress topper — the mattress underneath is so horrendously soft that the memory foam isn't as supportive as it should be.

I am probably amongst the few though. My best nights have been on tatami.

How did you manage to read with that? :o

I used to read covertly from about 10 to 1 or even 2. Had one of those desk lamps that got really hot — and by the time I decided it was time to sleep, it would be too hot to touch. Got so bad during one summer holiday that my dad decided to flip the mains switch to my room at 3am every night (oh the good old days when a power outage wasn't the end of the world).

Haven't used Twitter in a long time, but I'm considering getting back to it.

Another crash. By a small miracle, I managed to clean restart AND install software updates this time.

Yeah. Personally, I don't think it's worth that much: I understand that it costs this much because 50 years is a huge investment by the distillery, but the result is actually pretty similar to what a lot of bourbons half that age taste like (and in many cases they're more complex, and even longer on the palate). So my conclusion is that it's an experiment that's succeeded very nicely (especilaly if you take into account that it's batch 1), but that it also isn't world class.

This >50yo blended Scotch [masterofmalt.com] had me completely fooled: tasted blind, I guessed that it was an exceptional 20yo bourbon.

At 600GBP/bottle, I'm glad this came as part of a tasting set. Beautiful.

Trust.zone doesn't block P2P, but the speed is ridiculously bad: I can't have torrents going at >200KB/s and stream 1080p Youtube at the same time.

Yeah, it's quite annoying.

Insider info ;)

Got an email following that call I didn't answer that's supposedly Apple, and it just doesn't look right.
