Back in 2008, just before the unibody MacBooks were launched with the glass(?) trackpad surface, I predicted that the trackpad would more resemble an iPhone display.

The Apple Watch locks as soon as you take it off your wrist so that's somewhat low risk. That said, I'm more interested in having something lock my devices based on proximity than unlock; I'm perfectly happy to use a password every time.

There's something oddly cosy about taking a ferry at sunset. Run-down, noisy, and low ceilings with fluorescent lights — all very industrial — but somehow comforting; perhaps that contrast between the dry indoors and the outside. Perhaps nostalgia has something to do with it as well — summer camps usually happened on the outlying islands, reachable only by ferry.

Sometimes it's hard to believe that the internet was born in the US.
