Not worth it for the casual Excel use (tracking which camera has what film etc.). This'll be my first formal use of Excel (i.e. for statistics) in about 5 years. And it's all for data entry — it looks like I'll end up exporting a csv to stick into R.

Excel 2011 on OS X is unbearable. The find and replace dialog…never seen worse. In what world is cmd+a "replace all" and not "select all"…morons…

shudder Those chiclet keyboards…I can barely even get through a lecture on one of them.

Well, at least you'll be able to claim to have led a full and varied life.

Hehe. Nope.

@kdfrawg Indeed. Sigh.

Laphroaig seems to have upgraded their backend, and the first login after the push requires a password reset. Annoying but whatever.

So I try to log in with my old password, and it automatically sends a reset email.

But it's not a reset email, it's a random password in plain text.

So orders of magnitude less secure than what I had before they started messing around.

Incredible.

Tracking expenses can remind me of some interesting things — like how I haven't been to Lidl in 9 weeks.

Noted in my "tips to survive parenting".

Somehow overslept by an hour. Can never figure out which is "stop" and which is "snooze" on the iOS alarm when I'm half asleep. Probably need to find a better app.
