Wanted to visit a highly rated bar in Islington.

Got there and it's closed. No warning on social media or their site.

Not impressed.

Perfect day in London. Not a cloud. Breezy. Nice duck confit and salad lunch at The Clifton (nice houses in that area too).

Now to Trafalgar Square for Eid.

What if you turn the aircon on fan mode, full speed, and have them exit the nest and into the adjacent fire?

Seriously though, how does one handle a wasp nest?

that's inconvenient.

Kill it with fire!

shudder

Heh, thanks.

It's been alright this trip. I've actually gotten to the point of exploration in central London where I'm running out of new cafes and high-end cocktail bars, so I'm repeating some of my favourites.

Good timing anyway, this may actually be my last trip to London for a fair while. The wine tastings really taper off in summer, might make a trip to Naples or something in a few weeks…

As in mine, but today I'm trying a few new coffee shops.

Offset by a slightly less nice morning ? but today is coffee day, so all's well.

Scarfes: ordered 2 cocktails. The bartender brought out a bottle of a'Bunadh 57 for a guest; I asked if I could have a sniff of the bottle. He poured me a dram in a quaich, on the house.

Unrelated: I've never met anyone more proud to be Glaswegian.

Great presence on the table.
