Heh. Spent 3 hours getting a whole lot deeper into LaTeX in an attempt to make life a little easier for the next 2 weeks.

Installed R and knitr, built a compile script that includes knitr and latexmk, and it looks like all I have left to learn is…R itself.

But if I do this right, there'll never be any copy-pasting, and I might even be able to set things so that I don't even type a single number when discussing my results (just print the variables).

Turns out, when you send a college-wide email advertising a free wine tasting — even if it's for a dissertation experiment — people are very eager to sign up.

Certainly more attractive than those "I'll pay you £5 for a 30-minute eye-tracking study" emails.

Had multiple glasses of the Scotch Malt Whisky Society's 21yo Laphroaig tonight. Beautiful event, some lovely cocktails and certainly excellent whiskies.

I'd even settle for a universal standard of having timestamps in any form visible on the article page, and a search box that works…

Tempting!
