@height8 Just ran First Aid on the boot disk. Nothing seems to be wrong. >50% available disk space too. Huh.
@height8 I was reluctant to upgrade in the first place, but I felt that I'd left it long enough that I could safely do so.
Followed @height8's instructions. Playing TF2 still crashed the Mac Pro. Granted, I didn't restart after changing the values, though I certainly have now. sigh.
I'm going to have to be insanely concise with my introduction and conclusion. I only have 800 words left before I hit the hard limit.
This will not be easy.
