UberEats seems not to be available in HK, so I can't purchase it with my account.

Forget it…unbelievable.

Oh, and the UberEats section in the regular Uber app? Says Eats isn't available in my location.

WHICH IT IS.

  • Get email about Uber app update
  • Open Uber
  • Get notified about the Uber Eats app
  • Try to download it
  • It's not available in the HK store, so I have to switch to the US store, for a system that's supposed to work in France.

Having different app stores by region is frustrating. I understand why they do it, but it makes me want to shoot someone.

Unfortunately, no rank so far.

Well quite…but I always get my file in the end!

Not sure. Reloading the page loads of times, "playing" the second "layer" of the flash player (it seems like they're superimposed), and downloading every available mp4 file with GetThemAll Chrome extension eventually worked…after about 20 minutes :o

A page is streaming video but I can't figure out where the video's coming from/hosted, because every video URL in the source code gives 404s to Chrome and wget. So how the hell is the video managing to play on the page? :o

Ah…oh dear. Sounds more painful than penguins.

So why don't more people adapt it to desktop usage?

Hmm, if I were running entirely on Windows, I'd probably reboot a lot more often too…though doing that to the servers is a bit extreme.
