Salmon done right: when it flakes apart so easily you can't pick it up with the damn fork.

Also a comfort to know that my cast iron pan can handle fish without any sticking.

Heh…and we're on Windows 10.

Maybe they're trying to destroy the printer market :o

"For best print quality, specify the amount of ink dispensed per Courier 9pt letter in nanolitres"

Oh I'm sure those days are long gone for capital cities.

Apparently, though it can't be too big. Glasgow seems to have one too.

With 2.5 months left, I'm not sure how much I could do :P

I would, I suppose, if I had a bigger kitchen.

Maybe when I go to Edinburgh*…apartments are supposed to be cheap and spacious there…

*I am also entertaining London and just submitted my fourth and final application tonight, but Edinburgh has already responded to both applications — UCL is "still reviewing".

It's lovely. I'm friendly with the butcher in one of the supermarkets too.

I'm equidistant from both French and Chinese supermarkets, which gives me enormous flexibility in my cooking. I'm also just a little further away from a tiny supermarket that specialises in bin-end and almost-expired stock, which makes duck breast, fresh pasta, and similar things a steal.

Lucky I live 5 minutes' walk from the newer (and smaller) Chinatown then :D

Yeah, I get that. I bought a (1960s road) bike for the same reason, though the inner tube now needs replacing.

Oh my.

I think that, in much of Asia, it's not worth having a car. It's a luxury for those who can put that kind of money aside, but you're in an area with amazing public transportation already.
