@matigo Oh my.
I think that, in much of Asia, it's not worth having a car. It's a luxury for those who can put that kind of money aside, but you're in an area with amazing public transportation already.

@matigo I would quite like if the city set up special parking lots for such cars. You'd pay as though it were a taxi, but it'd go and park itself in the nearest available space, and you wouldn't have to worry about that part.
Whoop, no more grumpy taxi drivers!
But I think if I lived in a city where I'd have the opportunity to drive, I'd still invest in a nice car, for those times when quality was more important than convenience.
@matigo I'd always been under the impression that you took the subway everywhere.
@matigo Pretty sure one of my friends had that a while ago, but I can't really remember.
Tickets finally booked for the London wine tasting.
Thalys first class is going to be awesome…
@matigo Ha!
I wouldn't worry about people liking my knives — I probably wouldn't let anyone touch them anyway! Well, I do have a couple of throwaway knives that I let friends use if they need to use the kitchen when they're over, but that's about it.
I have got to stop looking at knives.
I will get a nakiri though, I think, hopefully an Aogami core laminated with stainless steel. Just not for the moment.
And yes, I do have a knife case for when I move and need to take all this with me. One that would easily accommodate blades 2x the length of my current ones…and some of those sword-like knives do look tempting, not that I'd actually have the opportunity to use them.
