Do you shut down, or just pause the VM?

I've been travelling enough recently that I've gotten quite bored of the music that I've had on the iPhone since I got it…but iTunes is such a pain to use that I don't update its library anymore, and therefore don't sync the iPhone.

Apps that just read the folder structure are so much more logical, and so much easier to use. Audirvana is my current one, with a very nice extended metadata editor built in and, of course, support for FLAC.

Will Apple ever sort this mess out?

@height8 This is the future!

Just don't get used to it.

Not exactly my choice :P seems we're going on a nightmarish whole-family tour (genuinely, a guided tour).

I don't have the itinerary, but if I could escape for a day…

Looks like I'll be in Tokyo 28 Dec 2016–2 Jan 2017.

Have you looked at the Eye-fi [eyefi.com] though?

Photos is a major thing, I imagine. You could just as easily pair a BT keyboard to the phone for journaling.

Drawing…can't help you there…

@height8 I don't know what your apartment layout is, of course, but the alternative would be to surround the bed with a curtain (think hospital-style, or mosquito net). If the space is narrow enough, you might be able to use a tension rod for that.

@height8 What if you used PVC to build something like a coat rack that you could hang a load of black cloth on?

@height8 Sounds like it's time to sort some sort of curtain out before you lose your mind.
