Oh yeah, bag X-rays on the Thalys now.
Annoying, especially when travelling with film.
"Is this machine film-safe?"
"Film? Huh?"
"Camera film?"
"Oh, yeah…uh, lemme check."
Sigh.

Thalys first class tomorrow…at 7:16am. Dear god, what was I thinking booking such an early train.
Best first class though. Probably my favourite trains.
Friend: I'm losing it.
Me: This is why some people keep bottles hidden away.
F: I don't drink.
Me: I know.
F: What am I going to do
Me: Start
@height8 "High of 23" probably refers to the one rooftop in the city where the sun was shining with enough intensity, in the 2 minutes it took to write the forecast, to justify that statement.

@matigo Something something "working law" mumble you don't speak our language oh wait you do well we disapprove of you anyway.
All the metro stations around the uni were closed 10 minutes ago because of yet another protest going on in the area.
It may be the area with the lowest crime rate in the city, but it's my least favourite. Awful idea to put a uni there.
@matigo From what I remember, the trains are much smoother in Japan than Paris. Here it feels like there's 0 suspension. Windows are kept open despite the tunnels being filthy because there's no proper air exchange system/aircon, so it's also insanely noisy. It's actually unhealthy to work as a train driver here.
@matigo On the other hand, fainting on the train might have caused the entire line to slow down.
As happens in Paris every day: "Traffic on line X has been interrupted due to a passenger feeling unwell." To which my response always is: "Then get off the damn train!"
