A wine shop whose owner I've known for a while had their yearly "birthday" party. Took a friend this time and we had a wonderful 2 hours discussing wine, amongst other things, to a lovely (if warm) sunset.

He's debating whether to go into politics (ideally an MP), or to make his career in the Anglican church. Quite a decision…

"Notifications? Isn't it enough to have the privilege of knowing? ?"

Seriously, I'd rather rely on Facebook's safety checks than something like that.

Well, you can't even rely on it, you have to be constantly watching it.

Absolutely. Now I'll probably keep the window open permanently — unless I'm playing violin or singing.

@kdfrawg Small 38mm automatic for me, with a NATO strap. Leather doesn't deal with sweat and humidity too well, and metal's far too heavy for me.

Have finally done what I've been putting off since the very beginning: installed a velcro mosquito net on the big window. I've had it on the smaller kitchen window for 2 years now, but kept putting off the big one. But in this heat…and it's not exactly going to get any cooler.

These past 2 or 3 days have been sponsored by caffeine. Shouldn't be so surprised that this 90-minute nap turned into 3 full hours — particularly given this sweltering heat.

But in a magnificent palace with the heaviest stone walls that keep the temperature at a pleasant 15ºC year-round :D

Dear Bach,
These chords are not physically possible for a normal human being to play. Not in this heat. Please reconsider your chaconne.
Yours,
A sweaty player.

Likewise. With the Pi as well as the Mac Pro and the MBA, I feel relatively safe about having at least one usable computer.

Oh!

I'm not sure, I haven't had to do it in a long time. I used to keep some distro or other on a thumbdrive.
