@matigo Since never, but one can try :)

@matigo Sometimes I walk past old, grand structures and think the same thing: there's a building 100m from mine that's had scaffolding up since I arrived, with no visible change from the outside. I never even see anyone there, and I've walked past at just about every possible time of day. The fact that things like the Sacré Cœur and Notre Dame were ever finished almost makes me want to believe in a higher power.
@matigo It might not be flattering to him, but, IMO, choice of application should usually not take emotional attachment or personal relationships into account — it's just about choosing the best tool and seeing it simply as a tool.
I think this makes for interesting data regarding app design preferences.

@matigo Yeah, that's generally how things go. Email attachments get ignored, anything past the first paragraph might as well be in English, etc.
If it genuinely matters, I just send an email/text every day until it gets done, and start calling if there's no response of any kind. It's unfortunate, but being pushy to the point of what many other cultures (certainly HK) would consider disrespectful seems to be the only way to get anything done on time here.
The concept of cards loaded with money for public transport:
I'm not exaggerating when I say this city's drowning in history. They want 5 years to phase out paper tickets. [konbini.com]
And we all know it's not going to get done on time. They can't even finish renovations on time, never mind a modification to their database/filing cabinet system.
@phoneboy What, big screens? Some of us have to — something's got to fill that worryingly spacious crotch area.
Huh, iOS' field test mode (activated by dialing the code) has still not been updated for retina/large screens.
@matigo Appreciate it :) It's a good learning process. Did relational DB "basics" about 6 years ago…with OpenOffice :P Now I get to apply it — and more — to something that genuinely matters a lot to me.
