@kdfrawg But that's what I mean — it's just that Dropbox would take the place of the server. If such a thing is possible at all (I don't know).

Nope. If I start something, I probably won't have time to wrap up before the big move, and I'll be busy doing visa paperwork in 10 days and so will have less time to work on said project.

Frustrating, really.

@kdfrawg I have considered similar, except on Dropbox. I wonder if a php form stored on Dropbox could be opened on any device and then subsequently modify the sqlite file also stored in Dropbox.

Had some delicious, if perhaps a touch over-salted, deep fried chicken for lunch.

And calvados camembert.

With a glass of Gundian's 2015 Albariño. Decent…

If there's one thing I love about deep frying, it's the lack of clean-up when using carbon steel and cast iron.

If I ever worked at Taco Bell at all, I'd be depressed :P

Why, does the dragon fall into the meat grinder?

Of course. It's taken me 6 months to get halfway through this damn novel (partially because I only have time/desire to read it on public transport where there's no data connection) and I'm going to find out how it ends if it's the last thing I do.

That, and the movie only covers the first quarter of the novel…which is frustrating, because it gets pretty good afterwards.

("The Neverending Story")

@kdfrawg That's what I found with FileMaker — a lot of it is either in the GUI, or has to be done with code which I can't understand from the examples I've seen. Other systems seem far more straightforward and I'm quite happy with SQLite so far, save for the inability to easily duplicate a record in a table with unique keys. Just need to set up some sort of form system, possibly with LibreOffice+drivers, and I'll be set…hopefully.

Still need to figure out a way to do data entry on iOS.

Just had my last German lesson. Feels so strange to think that I'll probably never see those people again, or even walk into that building.

Lately I feel in the mood for a project — but what?…
