Seriously annoyed with eBay and Amazon regarding the global shipping programs. France is pretty lax about import charges in general, so making me pay them at purchase is just stupid.
Worse are the sellers who opt to go for those programs…

@larand I never think about the caffeine in tea. All in my head, but I can drink tea past 8 but won't touch coffee.
@hazardwarning Something I shall have to bear in mind. My size hasn't changed in 3 years, fortunately, but I am aware that it can all change very quickly.

A small restaurant that uses an automated answering system, and ends the call because "all the lines are busy" (so they probably have just one line, like most places).
Sent an email instead…and that came back within 2 seconds with an automated "We will reply as soon as possible" message.

@indigo Well, it's true that if someone isn't creative in the first place, there's no magic potion that'll put some creativity in them. At the same time, taboos and the like can be so restrictive in some situations that creativity must be suppressed to the point of almost not existing — and that's where alcohol can change things.

TheFork is…forking up like nothing I've ever seen before. I'm trying to book a wine bar for 6pm and am awaiting confirmation on a restaurant booking for 7pm.
In what world is that a double booking?!
@indigo I find that, taken in the right context, it can relax you enough to express ideas that often remain locked up.

My water mug was caked in hard water deposits so I gave it a good scrubbing…and now I'm blinded every time I look into it when drinking, because cut crystal does that to you.
@indigo I get the feeling that that's generally how things work in Europe — anything goes until something goes wrong. Though the UK seems to be a tiny bit stricter.

Looking back at old photos (as backed up by Google on the Nexus 5) brought back a lot of memories. Those photos of the first bottles of wine I ever bought in Paris, the day I bought that glass, heck I even remember making some of those dinners and what knife I used…
