Medical checkup for the visa application is taking forever. 1 hour and only step 1 done — not sure how many steps there actually are. Hopefully just the one, given that this is only a tuberculosis test. Very crowded clinic. Efficient staff though, thankfully…it is good to be back in HK.

Starving now.

I try to keep up with both networks, but if I can only check one, I'll forego ADN. Unfortunately that happens all too often (time).

Hong Kong until my UK visa gets done.

Thanks, it did. Had 2 glasses of wine with dinner and slept until they woke me up for breakfast. Picked up a nice 1965 Armagnac and a Vosne Romanée at duty free.

Finally boarded.

What a way to close a chapter.

Watching the staff fuck around prepping for boarding is infuriating. So glad to be out of this country, even if I am one suitcase short.

Well quite — I have no one to blame but myself. I'm more upset about my carelessness than losing a few pens, rings, and miscellaneous things. I can barely remember what I had in there, I hadn't slept properly in a week by the time I packed it. Just very relieved that the big suitcase with all the genuinely expensive things didn't get taken too, and that I shipped all the rest ahead.

As I've mentioned many times, you seem very optimistic about the world. Unfortunately, so was I, this time.

Thanks for the messages all. 3 locked gates, I'm struggling to understand except that it might have been builders/decorators. Haven't really lost anything of immense value, save for a small jewellery bag — but thankfully I had both of my expensive watches with me. Shame to lose that box of rings.

Fuck. Left my 2 suitcases under the stairs — behind 2 locked gates in the richest area — come down 15 minutes later and one of them's gone.
