Excellent night catching up with a friend. His family also has sizeable liquor cabinet, though they don't drink at all and he doesn't drink anything but Ciroc vodka/Jägermeister, so they've said many times that it's as good as mine — no one else would ever go through it. Only VSOP cognacs, but still. Hope to introduce the bunch of them to the world of fine cocktails soon, since they're all too lazy to find the nice bars themselves. Now that they all have summer jobs, they're too tired to get wasted all the time anyway, so this is the time — more than ever — to get them hooked on high-quality drinks.

I've had a few hours to mull it over and I'm afraid I really don't see the logic in that acquisition. They already have AOL, what more obsolete shit do they need in their portfolio? :o

Ah!

Wait, it sells for 1.50? Pretty sure it's still the equivalent of half that in HK, and our currency is fixed to the USD.

Refreshingly sweet and well-loved by everyone?

I'd like that. Then I could train as an interpreter and be around fluffy creatures that make me happy.

First thing I did after the medical: straight to my favourite coffee place for 2 bags of beans, then stopped by the famous CCK to buy some knives and kitchen supplies (as if I didn't already have a case full of knives).

But they are made here and I've seen them marked up 200–300% in Paris.

It's a shame they're making what could be such a nice country so unattractive.

Yep. For HK and its infamous pollution.

They've got nerve considering they used to own us.

Sigh.

Just the burner phone then, if I ever need/want to go to the US again.

Posted too soon: have to have a chat with a doctor now.

This clinic is massive, by HK standards. 4 offices, with about 10 private rooms in each, all on one floor of a major office building. Clockwork.

Still very groggy unfortunately. At least I slept well and managed to get up on time.
