My connection can't be activated until the 14th because there's a "pending close" with a fixed date on the previous tenant's account that can't be overridden, and their system won't allow 2 boxes registered on the same address.

So, fuck.

God, Virgin's box has caused me nothing but trouble. Had it working, kicked it into modem mode (so I wouldn't have 2 routers in the chain), and now it's borked.

Moved most of my things into the new apartment. S'going to be a bit awkward at first, getting used to the new cupboards, relearning, learning to get around the silly design decisions that threaten to hinder my workflow. Guess I'll spend my first night there tomorrow.

Can't believe it takes IKEA a full week to ship a few things, while Argos and Wickes got it to me in a day…
