I hope I've calculated and budgeted correctly. Will certainly be overspending this month as I bulk buy wine and general supplies to last for the next few months.

300GBP of wine, for instance.

It is unfortunate that wine in the UK is so expensive — unaffordable for cooking. So I've ordered 15 bottles from Portugal. Even factoring in shipping (and they're not just shipping me those 15 bottles — there'll also be 3 bottles of port in there), it works out to 3GBP/bottle.

Which is 3x what I'd pay for cooking wine in France.

Damn.

@kdfrawg Strong cheese, LBV port, and a chapter of a good book, all by a nice dim light.

Sleep cycles are ~1.5 hours anyway, so you have at least an hour once you decide you're going to have a bite :P

I’ve had to leave the window open (it’s 16ºC outside) ever since setting up the Mac Pro, and every ceiling/counter light in this apartment is LED already.

Maybe he means emotionally :o

Morning.

This apartment doesn't get much sunlight at all. The windows are't facing the right direction.

So I have a lamp set to turn on from 6–11pm and 7–10am — the evening one for safety (it's a ground-floor flat), and the morning one to help me wake up. Might switch that bulb to a daylight-balanced LED. Will be especially helpful in winter.

This is interesting. My system clock says 12:13am, but 10C is showing posts from 1:20am.

That can't be right. , , and @kdfrawg should all be a few hours behind

Ah, that really sucks. Hope it does go away soon.

Well hello!

I can't believe it — Sainsbury's Conegliano Prosecco (have the 2015 brut here) is actually really good!

@kdfrawg Ah, now that is commitment to employee satisfaction.
