Raasay’s “While we wait” seems to have all the necessary elements to be great, except that it’s all a bit diluted. The complexity is there, but the intensity and length aren’t. Maybe I’ll re-evaluate it in a few days and change my mind. Hmm.

Well, there are different types of spaces.

That, or they go before breakfast (there’s a butcher shop nearby that does 7:30–5:30). I do miss big cities. //

I have yet to try that one!

But it does mean that a large number of people who might want to have access to high-quality meat have no way to do so.

Certainly a different culture than HK anyway, where the whole point of a shop is to be working when everyone else isn’t. //

So how do people with full-time jobs manage?…

  1. Finish plate of kung pao chicken
  2. Wash sweat off face
  3. Continue with the rest of dinner
