The Touch ID prompt still comes up so slowly that I can unlock Dropbox by passcode before it shows.

One totally free day tomorrow. Spending the evening with friends before getting up at 6am the next day to fly to Tokyo and be stranded with family for a full week.

I know there's the Ultimate Hacking Keyboard, but it would be so nice if the Ergodox had a trackball built in. It's quite a comfortable device to have one's hands on all day.

@kdfrawg Travelling home to eat and travel. Hmm.

I basically put up with it all for the (mostly) good food and travelling.

Yes, but this is my only way to have good sushi and spend time in a functioning city.

These long family lunches are such a waste of daylight. Beautifully sunny day too.

Main differences:

  • 35g switches — the Cherry MX red are already quite light at 45g.
  • Enter, backspace, space, and delete are all on the thumb pad.
  • Ortholinear layout, so I have to use different fingers for certain keys than I usually would. To be fair, that will probably help my wrist strain in the long run.

Finally completed my Ergodox Infinity. It's going to take a LONG time to adjust to typing on this thing.

what a treat for Christmas :o
