It seems I can say "Yes I have an account but never use it" until the cows come home, it won't stop morons from trying to reach me on there (and then wondering why I don't reply).
What is "Thunderbolt hubbing"? Mac Observer's mention [macobserver.com] is the only instance of this phrase I can find and — like just about everything they write — they don't define their terms.
Increasingly find myself disinclined to read their content.
@matigo I find the only time I can focus on podcasts in when I'm having a body massage, face down with very few places for my mind to wander.
@matigo Still waiting for Vancouver to think about burying those power and phone lines.
@matigo At a glance, those requirements look actually stricter than China's requirements in non-pandemic times for visitors. (In China, you have to declare your residence to the local authorities within 24 hours of arriving, which in the case of visitors means that the hotel takes a copy of your passport and sends it to the authorities.)
If the points in this email are only for the period of the pandemic (however that ends up being defined) then that's not entirely ridiculous, in my opinion, save for the $1000 fine for not submitting prior to boarding.
@matigo Public shaming and virtue signalling are what keep me off social media. Really don't enjoy that kind of thing.

@streakmachine Hope you enjoy. Glad we arranged it last year as, at least a few months ago, no amount of money would make the post office do international deliveries of large parcels at the moment.
What's the best number to reach you on? This one keeps going to voicemail.
I have said for over 10 years now that a smartphone is good for everything but phone calls, which are the bane of my productivity and just generally really annoying.
There are precisely 3 people who get a pass on my DND settings.
@streakmachine I have 3 URLs which I've been meaning to set up for over a year. Just never got around to it — I would also do it by hand. Have been looking at the feasibility of Github Pages and Jekyll.
