I miss having access to a piano. We have one in HK that's horribly sticky because I'm the only one who plays it (a few weeks a year) and I dislike playing when anyone's around to listen.

That piece is really beautiful, incredibly relaxing. His Rêverie is one of my favourites to play on the violin, though my instinctive interpretation is actually a lot colder than what he probably intended it to be.

And I spent my first 11 years in a 600 square foot apartment, which we then upgraded to a 1000 square foot apartment with an 800 square foot balcony (brilliant for bbq, and we built our kitchen on it, but it has a canvas roof because a solid roof would make it illegal) //

Likewise, I couldn't imagine living with other people. Even spending time in HK with my parents is quite annoying now, even with all the conveniences having a maid to do…just about everything…brings.

Surely these sites that split pretty short articles into multiple pages are just begging for an increased visit count?

the scorch marks are a tad annoying and do tend to unsettle visitors.

My ideal home would have natural stone walls — proper 30–50cm thick stone walls that keep the temperature at a relaxing 15–18ºC. Scorch marks probably wouldn't be too much of an issue with that kind of setup.

Surely I would drive you crazy within the week — if not with my singing, then by filling up the kitchen with clouds of smoke every night.h //

Always more relaxing to read books and music by natural light too, I find.

I would love to live in a house.

Well, when you get paid by the article, you have to produce, however unlikely the story is.

This is what blowtorches are for.

It does, but the screen's cracked and the case dented. The hinge is a bit loose too. Suspect one of the TB ports might be failing, but I can't be sure. Shame, ever since I declared that dead I've been stuck with really shit low-res screens bought 2nd hand (knowing that I'd only be using them for 18 months). Would really love a 4k screen…maybe when I settle down.
