@matigo Heh, quite. At least I was lucky enough to have read a review on the bus there that warned about that technique. Apparently, the moment your drink arrives at the bar, your table magically becomes ready.
That bistro was Parisian down to the finest detail: walked in at 9:29 (booked for 9:30) and they said the table was just paying, would I like to wait in the bar.
Said no, I'd just walk around and admire the decoration for a bit.
10 minutes later, nothing, and no attention from any of the servers.
Obviously a scam.
So I walked over to Flesh & Buns. Incredibly crowded, and I arrived just in time for their express menu to start (10pm onwards). Got a seat at the bar. Having a proper dinner.
Strategic naps means that I'm heading off to dinner now relatively awake.
London interpretation of a French bistro tonight. The kind of thing I've avoided for a while, but it has gotten decent reviews.
Nice of Gatwick to put blue lights around, presumably for SAD and all that. Idiotic, however, to consequently make it impossible to read the train times.
There's no Uber Pool in Edinburgh, unlike France. So the UberX drivers are the most casual here.
I really don't care to hear someone's entire phone conversation on the way to the airport.
Sigh.
@hazardwarning Nice area, the SW postcodes. I've actually been south of the Globe only once, I think — everything seems to be north of the river.
