Jackie Evancho's "Someday at Christmas" album is a little unsettling. Her voice has an almost metallic, slightly raspy edge in a lot of the tracks. Not the autotune kind of edge, but…huh. Particularly noticeable on the first track which makes me think she was almost swallowing the mic during that recording. Reached the same conclusion on HD600, DT880, and the bookshelf speakers.

It's interesting how my discipline regarding sweet snacks has improved over the past few years. I used to get cravings such that I'd eat a bowl of plain sugar. Now, I have a big bag of salted licorice and a Twix bar beside me, and absolutely no temptation for either of them.
The same doesn't apply to savoury stuff, with cheese being my major weakness…
