One last exam, then off I fly to the Connected Lands.
Looks like I'll have to wait for an engineer to visit mid-Jan to get connected again.
Sigh.
Ending her visit the right way: tea at the Waldorf Astoria. Booked the seafood tea and they didn't get their delivery of seafood, so complimentary champagne (Perrier-Jouët brut).
Still down.
But they marked the area problem as fixed last night, so there's some chance it may just be my box at this point.
But that's too much of a coincidence, surely. My box dies at the same time the area's connection goes?…
Time pushed to 4:30pm.
Good thing my cousin's visiting and I have some distraction. Appalling.
Still not fixed.
At least this support tech had some idea of what was going on: they're waiting for a Cisco tech to come and fix or replace some cars in the server.
A Cisco tech who probably took an overnight train from London?!…surely the whole point of going down that career path is the lucrative OT…
