Always amazed to see how much academic writing has changed in the last few centuries. Not a lot accessible from before 1900, but I just found a thesis on Arabic as spoken in Beirut — 104 pages handwritten (presumably because of the amount of Arabic in it). No bibliography because it was a totally unexplored area at the time: just a page of "professors I consulted during my year in Beirut". Heh.

Classy bunch

That's slightly less cause for concern than the meaning of "multiply" I understood at first.

Wonderful tasting of Australian wines. Tasted about 30 wines and really liked 4, which doesn't happen very often.

Why wait a week? :o

Worrying. Might have to leave the 7+ behind and take a freshly-wiped 6+ to New York. Disposable email and Dropbox account too.

I am, thanks :) (Wouldn't have much of a choice — things to do…)

Woke up with the worst headache/migraine I've had in years. The sound of refilling my glass with water was unbearable. But paracetamol acts surprisingly quickly — I stopped shivering within 5 minutes. Weird.

Ah, speak of the devil. Virgin Media has fucked up again.

Nah, a 10-word text.
