My inital impression at all was that it was a little like some Starbucks blends: darker than what I'm used to and indeed I had to scrape it out of the grinder with a knife because it wouldn't drop into the cone by itself…
Artisan Roast's Monsooned Malabar (is that the one @indigo likes?) is interesting. Initial impression in the Kalita Wave: smoke, earth, old leather, toasted almond, roast chestnut, malt, vanilla, a hint of dried peach. Might do well in the Aeropress.
