@bazbt3 It's one of those things that only goes well with super sweet cocktails (and not whisky, for example).
@matigo you want to go to a place with a 2-star rating? :o Come to HK, too many hookah bars here.

This cheese has so much umami it reminds me at once of Kraft Mac and Cheese powder — in raw form — and of KFC's chicken wings.
Wonder what their 1000-day gouda's like.
Heh. The edge of this 500-day gouda is so hard my cleaver's having trouble going through it, and that's the only knife I'd trust with this kind of thing.
OS X is just amazing. I can't even lock my screen without my tiled windows setup getting messed up. It's only 3 monitors FFS.
@jws Thanks. Looks like ffmpeg can do this [qc4blog.com] in a way that wouldn't be hard to script.
Is there an audio editor that lets you split one track into multiple — and ideally, name them — by reading times and names from a csv or similar?
iOS Instagram has gotten increasingly useless. First they take previews out of post notifications; now, whenever you open one notification, all the other Instagram notifications disappear. So post notifications are no longer actually useful. Yet they're necessary because of the idiotic algorithm (probably designed to reduce server load and not to "optimise experience") that no longer displays a chronological feed, but "prioritises" certain posts and skips a lot of posts it considers less useful.
Morons.
One interesting thing I've noticed about my drinking habits is that I inevitably regard moderation from a volume perspective, not an ABV one. With a bottle of armagnac beside me, 1/4 can be gone in an afternoon — the same as might be for wine.
But I can sip on 500ml of beer througout dinner and continue on the same beer for the rest of the evening.
Had pulled lamb breast and kidney beans for dinner. Feeling incredibly full now, though not sure why, it wasn't an insane amount of food.
As well as being the cheapest cut, lamb breast is the most flavour-packed; the only cost is the not-exactly-easy process of deboning it.
