I thought she was a pretty decent professor up until tonight. Going through a couple of her presentations, it turns out her "References" slide doesn't contain half of what she references. So I have to search Google Scholar and the uni library catalogue based on author:date labels.

How did she get this far in academia?

Infuriating.

Oh my.

What's going on tonight? Reddit's getting hammered.

Clearly been in academia for too long: when I have a question, I'm more likely to search Google Scholar than Web.

And any article without at least a few verifiable references is almost automatically dismissed.

Aesthetics is nice but once upon a time I dreamed of getting rid of all the external HD enclosures and not needing so many power strips…and not being able to accidentally nudge a cable and cause one to eject (whoever decided that Thunderbolt didn't need thumbscrews should be tortured with just those)

I mind the 2013 model very much…sigh.

It's a beautiful case, if nothing else.

I like raw text+PDF, usually. I.e. Markdown+PDF or LaTeX+PDF.

@kdfrawg That recipe makes a wonderful on-tray entrée. I've had it many times.
//

@kdfrawg Yes and it's awfully picky — it only takes one very particular kind of wine. Worse than me…
