Ha. Googled a book and found that a university prof in Thailand had uploaded 2 versions of its PDF.

On the first, he removed the cover page and all the information — save for the one page with the copyright information.

On his "new site" (auto-redirect one level up), he's removed that page too.

R is great for numbers but seems to have no way to do the equivalent of select * from main where …, which is driving me crazy.

I do find emacs' session management severely lacking and frustrating compared to vim.

I love vim, but things like helm and org-mode just keep bringing me back to the piano-esque quasi-OS that is emacs.

Can never decide whether vim or emacs is better.

But emacs' plugins are above and beyond anything I've ever experienced…

If legalese were simple, lawyers would be out of a job.

From a linguistics perspective the complexity of legalese and its many possible interpretations (especially in the US) is fascinating.
