@matigo Probably. I'm not too annoyed about it: I did get it for 1/5 of RRP because it had a broken USB cable (needed heatshrink).
@matigo As close as possible. The on-board memory, stupidly, doesn't store settings for the volume wheel and media keys, so I can't use the volume wheel as a scroll wheel on Mac. They also don't allow you to re-program the Windows key, which is bizarre.
@matigo Thanks, found the setting for VMWare Fusion: https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/1003418
Correction: Razer Synapse can be used in VMWare Fusion by enabling HID passthrough [kb.vmware.com].
Bought a Razer Huntsman Elite second hand with a broken USB cable — 1/5th of the regular price.
Disassembling the keyboard and applying heatshrink tubing to the cable was all it took to fix it. Gorgeous opto-mechanical switches, buttery smooth.
Have to install Windows in a VM to get Razer's Synapse 3 configuration software running, though, which is a real shame.
Even more of a shame is that the Windows 10 UX is appalling — and I'm not even past the installer yet. It feels worse than what I remember of XP.
@matigo Remove what you can with a leaf blower. Burn everything else to ashes. Finally, a torrent of water to wash it all down the drain. Done.
@matigo Yes and my premailer script (currently in Python) probably saves me 5+ minutes (and a lot of clicks -> RSI) per email, which can come to 30 minutes per day.
@matigo Yeah I might rewrite my premailer (css inliner, html minifier) in Rust after we migrate email platforms at work. Just for fun.
The Rust book has been pretty fun to read so far.
The only thing that prevents me from diving right in is that so much of what I do is already perfectly catered to by Python (pandas, BeautifulSoup…).
