Rare that I refuse to recover from jet lag but I'd rather stay a London Lark for the next few days as it'll make getting over the jet lag once in Canada about 7 hours easier.

I'm doing exactly that in HK. Refusing to set up everything until I've cleared or cleaned, and rewired, everything that I left here 4 years ago.

It's quite incredible how much stuff I can fit into my very small room. Last Christmas I threw out about 4x50L bags, yesterday, probably another 2…

First night back, get dragged into the party area. On a Saturday night. Hey, at least we had 2 cocktails at one of my preferred bars.

Hmm, I suppose!

Back. Somehow managed 5 hours or so of light-ish sleep, which is about what I expected…

Relieved I didn't get checked at customs. Officer started walking towards us, turns out he was stopping some people behind me.

Because the contents of my suitcases paint me as being quite a heavy-drinking hacker, I think.

I've scheduled it already. I can sleep until 5 hours before arrival, after which I absolutely must be awake until after dinner (we land at 2pm), or it'll make the jet lag unbearable.

She is but didn't get the business class upgrade.

Longer than they will. 3 hours until connecting flight; 12 hours once on. But Cathay has a good entertainment system.

Yeah. Silly carry-on restrictions. Main problem was my violin: a lot of international airlines don't take it as being a piece. BA does.

Shit. In the rush to check in the second carry-on, I forgot to take my charging cables out of it. Have a USB charger, but no cables.

Sigh.
