Made it to Toronto and surprisingly not keeling over from sleep deprivation. 1 aspirin and a decent neck pillow helped a lot (the awful wine didn't).

Guy sat next to me probably doesn't fly international a lot…all snacks in any quantity are free on Cathay…in any case, I rarely see someone knock them back that quickly on a flight. Whisky, then wine, followed by 2 cups of tea and a G&T on waking up…

would be nice not to have to read email at all.

Been up all night except for a nap, need to stay awake 2 more hours.

Standing in line now to board. Because if I sit, I'll fall asleep.

It's currently 1pm in Toronto, so I must ignore what time it is in HK and stay awake…for another 9 hours…that is, sleep on the plane. And only the plane. Oy.

Gastronomically grim, being home. Cupboards full of expired and mouldy stuff, herbs all 10 years old, kitchen drawers so full of duplicates and broken stuff that I can't find anything. Going to need a lot of work.

Looks like I'll have to not sleep at all tomorrow night, and wait till 11am on the 6th, then I can crash until we reach Toronto. Or something. Eh.

did you forget to opt out of the "filtered through hand-harvested rushes" package?

It is, but HK's humidity and heat pretty much establishes a negative correlation between the length of your hair and the maximum possible length of a nice (read: tolerable) walk.

Slightly shorter than my collection of whisky.

Hmm, that's a bucketful of hair gone ?
