Cali BBQ dinner with a decent quantity of very good Hong Kong beer. The beer scene here has improved unbelievably since I moved to Paris.
Now off to Edinburgh.

@JeremyCherfas No vacuum sealer necessary: put everything into a ziplock bag or similar, seal up all but a small gap, then slowly place into the water, and seal the rest. That alone takes enough air out.

@matigo Not at all. Plenty of popping corks and pulling corkscrews though, and sometimes not one’s own.
@matigo This group does a lot of dinners and it’s so big that only a subset join each one. Not sure when my next one will be as they’re very expensive and extravagant affairs.
A 7-hour dinner. We made it through the entire flight of wines and then started again with our favourites.
