@matigo I think it was the Deathly Hallows that I finished in an evening after dinner. Too long ago to be sure though.
It's been quite a while since I last read an entire novel in one sitting. The last time I can definitively remember is either the last or penultimate Harry Potter book.

I was so sure last night there was a Flying Thing in the apartment last night, but after a 3 day wedding party was too tired to investigate.
Found it in my pre-coffee state just now: probably a flying ant.

@variablepulserate Well that's my secondary reason for leaving: I'm basically guaranteed a UK visa and if I can survive for 6 years (with or without a job) then I can apply for a passport.

@matigo Almost entirely political. I don't think I've really felt "safe" since the protests started and that was pretty much 3 years ago now. I don't think that's going to change until I get out: I don't see this place changing direction anytime soon.
