Put some sausages in the toaster oven. Heard gentle popping, thought the sausages were splitting or something. Opened the door and saw some orange flashing — either the heating element, or oil was igniting when it came into contact with the element. Have never pulled a plug so quickly in my life :o

@height8 That's the size of my entire fridge-freezer…then again I never did agree with the guy who designed this apartment, and if I were genuinely staying longer I'd sort it out.

@height8 @matigo Thanks :) It'll pass, and thankfully it hasn't affected my sense of smell as much as it might have.

@height8 What luxury to have a freezer big enough for such dreams.

For a while, I managed to keep my bedtime early. Being sick, as I currently am, seems to have messed with that. Ah well.
