@bazbt3 Ah, I love tulip glasses. At the moment I'm using a massive wine glass for all alcohols, because I find it works incredibly well for spirits too, but at some point I'll probably get a cut-crystal Glencairn glass :D
@bazbt3 That's an interesting approach. I do the opposite: I always go for something different. Until I'm buying wine for someone or to drink with someone — then I draw on that knowledge and get a wine that I've had before or something likely to be very similar.

@indigo Not a huge fan of the vast majority of merlot around. Too often, it's used to produce overly casual wines that, unfortunately, remind me of friends downing bottles before parties.
