@skematica Once you're in their system, you can check out, but you can never leave…
Quite in love with the marginnote package in LaTeX. Works beautifully with the twoside layout. So much more elegant than endlessly indenting bullet points as I would with Markdown (to be fair, lists are much more of a pain to set up in LaTeX).
@variablepulserate My theory is that the world has just gotten louder — speakers are capable of playing louder, and I imagine even classical singers go into bars and clubs once in a while. So when we speak, we speak louder to compete with the surroundings, and that habit carries over into singing.
Just an armchair theory, of course.
Felt quite lively right up till I started plating dinner (just tartare and caramelised onions — leftover horse from yesterday), then I started getting all shaky and wondered if I'd made the right choice in deciding not to have any carbs tonight.
Guess I'll be snacking on cheese and banana-chocolate cookies tonight (made them this evening with leftover bananas since I won't eat bananas once they're past yellowish green).
@variablepulserate I would say that opera's remained reasonable, but it seems that modern opera singers force their voices more than those in the early days of recording did.
The May trip might be London (wine tasting), then Edinburgh, then Glasgow. Hmm!
