Went to a seedy Internet cafe to print the ticket that they spelt out needs to be printed (what fools, printing barcode tickets).
The place was run, at least for the time that I was there, by a boy no older than 10.

The one thing I'm allergic to — broad beans — appeared on the appetiser. I didn't think to mention the allergy as I've never encountered it in France. Thankfully the waiter was very gracious about it and had the dish redone without the broad beans.
Not even sure how serious the allergy is…but I'd rather not find out away from home the day before a tasting.
@height8 sometimes I get a problem in LaTeX that's solved by retyping the line. Strange, computers…
It would appear that I'm in a carriage with children going on some sort of camping trip.
@height8 Ah, could be that! Its beeper didn't go off (though mine did, briefly).
UPS kicked in for about 10s. Absolutely no idea why because no lights flickered or anything. Good way to get the heart rate up at night.
This trip is going to be another one of those where I stay for 2 days but treat it as a day out — I'm taking my smallest bag with me. I think I can rough it for a day and go without a change of clothes. Will bring a toothbrush though, of course, and a comb.
