Burgundy is actually in a "state of catastrophe" [decanter.com] right now. Madiran and Pacherenc aren't happy either. Too much hail — multiple rounds of it.

That leaves Burgundy with only 2 outstanding vintages (2005, 2015) in 11 years. Harsh. Which means prices will only continue to rise (sigh).

Wonder if it'd be possible to put transparent beach umbrellas over the vines…

Indeed. Having to fight your tools makes you more productive, y'know.

@skematica well few restaurants actually have dress codes anymore, just suggestions. The ones that enforce suits etc annoy me slightly and make me hesitate.

Metro line interrupted for 15 minutes at rush hour.

Imbeciles.

Some form of nepotism, I believe.

@skematica Shirts are fine, tshirts on the other hand, might be a little out of place in the nicer restaurants :P

He only has 2 days here and actually wants to see "the usual sights".

Anyway, as it turns out, he did bring 2 shirts. So that'll have to do. I daren't ask what they look like.

Friend is coming to visit this weekend (he's doing an exchange semester in Germany). Just occurred to me, whilst booking restaurants, that he might not have anything that isn't a printed tshirt.

And indeed, he doesn't.

So he has 2 days to sort that out, or he might feel a little uncomfortable in these restaurants.

The second problem could be sorted by using TestFlight.
