@literary Thanks. Hope you do too.
@matigo I do indulge in long dinners and extravagent lunches, but when at home I try to eat healthily, and with yoga and pilates every morning I've managed to keep a 28–29" waist (at least according to Levi's, JCrew, and Uniqlo) for the past 5 years.
@matigo Hmm, but the HK cuts are horribly baggy, and the Paris ones no better, and neither city is known for being particularly chubby.
@matigo But even Uniqlo is baggy! (And their oxford shirts are rubbish — get rough after a few washes, unlike JCrew.)
Tshirts are so hard to get right that I've taken to wearing plain black short-sleeved undershirts because they're the only ones that don't drape like a nightshirt on me. And I only wear black tshirts so I'm not bothered by the lack of choice.
Decided I'm going to get a few shirts slimmed tomorrow. Been putting it off for a while but it'll be worth it.
Quite annoying: the brands that make shirts slim enough for me aren't ones that use great materials. The ones that do use great materials make them just a tiny bit too baggy at the waist — even their XS slim-cut models (JCrew, for instance).
Considering just getting all my shirts (casual and dress) tailor made from now on. Not that much more expensive that JCrew+tailoring, actually. Not this tailor in HK anyway.
@joeo10 It's something I'll consider if I ever start using email extensively. What a shame though — I've had this Gmail account since 2005…
@literary If you're sure you won't wear it again, the money definitely seems more attractive.
