34°C and 53% relative humidity. Beautiful day.
Then the storm sets in tomorrow. Biggest of this year. I set things up yesterday so the office will be fine if I don’t show up on Monday.

I’d drink L’Ermite all day if it weren’t so expensive…absolutely magnificent in pretty much every way.
Rather annoying that camera batteries aren’t symmetrical in the same way that USB C is. And there’s absolutely no reason for them not to be.
We had 3 slices of bread left. So I decided to make a cheese and bacon sandwich, and then French toast with the last slice.
Had egg left over, so made an omelette and put that into the sandwich as well.
Now following that up with some nice Felton Road Bannockburn Riesling.
Rubbish weather. It was cloudless this morning, and now it's pouring.
Our head of operations, who’d been with us for 8 years, made some comments comparing 2 of my colleagues (both of whom I officially report to) before she left, calling one a manager and one a leader (the difference being that a manager is purely task-oriented and delegates without thinking of the process, and only cares about getting the final result; a leader considers things from as many angles as possible). I agree with those comments wholeheartedly.
Tonight, over a cocktail to celebrate the end of her 6 months, one of my interns told me exactly the same thing, even though she’s spent minimal time with one and even less time with the other.
Quite revealing.
@matigo Well, champagne has been found preserved like that, and that has even fewer preservatives.
@matigo I haven't had the pleasure but I'm sure there's one at the bottom of the sea that's been perfectly preserved or something.
